Lia Akhaladze was born on 14.01.1966 in Samtredia, married.

In 1999 defended Candidate dissertation.  Since 2006, she is a Dr. of History, Associate Professor. In 2001-2005, L. Akhaladze worked as a Deputy Dean of the Faculty of History and Law. In 2006-2008 L. Akhaladze held position of the Head of Quality Assurance Department. Since 2008, she is a Dean of the Faculty of Education at Sokhumi State University. She is the Academician of Georgian Academy of Educational Sciences.

Lia Akhaladze has published more then 50 scientific-practical works.
