Professor Nestan Kekelia

Was born on January 2, 1967 in Sokhumi

Married, has two children.

In 1984-1989 studied at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics at the University of Abkhazia. In 1990-1991, she worked as the Laboratory Assistant at the Department of General Mathematics and Teaching Methodology at the Sokhumi Branch of Tbilisi State University. In 1991, Nestan Kekeia advanced to the position of Senior Laboratory Assistant and held it until 1993. In 1993-2002 she worked as a teacher at the Department of Applied Mathematics, and in 2002-2005 as the Deputy Dean of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics. In 2003, Nestan Kekelia defended Candidate Dissertation in Physics and Mathematics.

In 2005-2006 Nestan Kekelia worked as the Supervisor of the Educational Program in Mathematics. Since 2005 she is a Docent and since 2006 - an Associate Professor. In 2006, Nestan Kekelia worked as Associate Professor in the field of Computing Methods and Mathematical Modeling at the Department of Exact and Natural Sciences of Sokhumi State University. In 2007-2008, she held position of the Head of Teaching Department. Since January 1, 2008, she is the Head of the Teaching Process Management Department.
