On September
15, 2020, the Rector of the Sukhumi State University, President of the Academy
of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Zurab Khonelidze had the honor to meet with
the President of Georgia, Her Excellency Mrs. Salome Zurabishvili. After the
meeting, Zurab Khonelidze noted: “The attitude of the President, Mrs. Salome
Zurabishvili to the main problem of the country – unity, deep knowledge of the
issue, the state approach exceeded my expectations, which inspired optimism in
the future of the Motherland. I also fully share the President’s vision of the
special role of Sukhumi State University in resolving this issue. The fact is
that the university is the most important living organism, which must fulfill
the mission of a bridge connecting Abkhazia with the rest of Georgia. I look
forward to further business meetings, including in the university space”.
