Professor at Sokhumi State University Edisher
Putkaradze Participated in an International Conference
On May 14–17, 2026, Edisher Putkaradze, a
professor at Sokhumi State University and Head of the Criminal Law Direction,
participated in the international conference "International Criminal Law
with a Focus on Environmental Protection," organized by the International
Criminal Law Association of Serbia.
The conference was attended by
representatives from Italy, Greece, Germany, Slovakia, Albania, and other
countries.
Professor Edisher Putkaradze presented two
papers at the conference. The topics of his presentations were
the following:
- The Necessity and Significance of
Environmental Protection through the Application of Domestic and
International Criminal Law
- Certain Substantive Criminal Law Issues of
Ecological Crime
The full texts of the presentations were
published in the conference proceedings.
At the conclusion of the conference, the
speakers and participants were awarded relevant certificates.
