Sokhumi
State University hosted the presentation of the scientific-research project: "Transmedia
and Artistic Representation of Kazakhstan's Image in Modern World
Culture." This project is supported by the Science Committee of the
Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As
part of the project, a comprehensive study of Kazakhstan's image within the
global cultural space is being conducted. Its objective is to examine the
specific characteristics of the country's verbal and non-verbal
representations, as well as to analyze the traditional literary and modern
transmedia forms through which Kazakhstan is presented in world culture.
The
audience at the event was addressed by the Rector of Sokhumi State University, Professor Tea Jugeli; the Head of the
Department of International Relations and Intercultural Relations, Professor Indira Dzagania; and the
Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of Kazakhstan, Mr. Riza Sadyk.
During
the meeting, particular attention was paid to how a national image is formed
and perceived across various cultural and media platforms, as well as the role
of the humanities in deepening cultural dialogue and academic cooperation
between countries.
The
scientific project is led by Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Saule Abisheva. The research
group includes: PhD, Associate Professor Dina Sabirova; PhD Samal Serikova;
PhD, Postdoctoral Fellow Madina Baurzhankyzy Moldagali; and Master of Pedagogy,
Doctoral Student Gulnara Atembaeva.
A
significant stage of the project involved the research group members'
participation in an international scientific delegation in Tbilisi, where they
presented their research findings and established scientific connections with
foreign colleagues.
The
implementation of this project contributes to the international advancement of scientific knowledge about Kazakhstan,
the strengthening of intercultural dialogue, and the development of academic
cooperation in the field of humanitarian research.
