Sokhumi State University Hosted a Working Meeting

On March 19-20, under the initiative of UNICEF, Sokhumi State University hosted a Working Meeting for introduction of new Master Degree Programs for Primary Education in the framework of the joint program of UNICEF, Estonia and Georgia.

   The meeting was moderated by the Head of UNICEF Education Programs Mako Kuparadze and expert of the same programs Natia Jokhadze.

    The participants of the working meeting welcomed the Rector of Sokhumi State University Professor Zurab Khonelidze, who noted that our University supports all initiatives that will facilitate the successful implementation of Bachelor's and Master's programs in the field of higher education, specifically - teacher education.

"The faculty of Education is actively involved in various projects on the international and national level, based on which many large-scale measures are implemented in order to achieve success in the educational system." - noted Rector. In the end he thanked UNICEF and representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport for supporting Sokhumi State University and wished success to the participants of the Working Meeting.

In the seminar participated representatives of: Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University; Sokhumi State University, Ilia State University, A. Tsereteli Kutaisi State University, I. Gogebashvili Telavi State University, Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University, Gori State Teaching University, Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State University etc.
