Professor Gela
Tsaava’s Working Visit to Portugal
On
November 12–15, 2025, Gela Tsaava, Associate Professor at Sokhumi State
University, member of the Academic Council, and researcher at the Center for
Peace Education, paid a working visit to the city of Porto, Republic of
Portugal.
Professor
Tsaava participated in the 2nd International Conference on Teaching
Intercultural Communication, organized by the School of Technology and
Management of the University of Aveiro. The main theme of the conference was “Exploring
Heritage, Communication, and Digital Humanities.”
At
the conference, Professor Tsaava delivered a presentation on the destruction of
cultural heritage monuments in the territories occupied by the Russian
Federation. His presentation addressed the illegal actions carried out by the
occupation regime aimed at erasing historical heritage and identity, and sought
to present this important research material to an international audience.
Sokhumi
