25th
Anniversary of Choreographic Ensemble “Mironi” Celebrated at Sokhumi State
University
The jubilee event featured performances by the Choreographic ensemble “Mironi” and the folk ensemble “Mordu.” The program also included solo performances, with poetry recitations and musical pieces adding depth and variety to the evening. As part of the celebration, a newly staged Abkhazian dance was presented and performed on stage for the very first time.
A
photo exhibition was also organized within the framework of the event,
showcasing unique images that reflect the ensemble’s many years of creative
history and artistic journey. The audience was addressed by the Rector of
Sokhumi State University, Professor Tea Jugeli, who honored the ensemble’s
choreographer, David Nadareishvili, for his distinguished contribution to the development
of Georgian culture.
The
evening held special symbolic significance, as it brought together
representatives of seven generations of the ensemble—once again highlighting
Mironi’s rich history, continuity of tradition, and unwavering dedication to
Georgian cultural heritage. It is worth noting that Ensemble “Mironi” operates
under the Sports, Culture, and Youth Affairs Department of Sokhumi State
University, which has played a vital role in the ensemble’s formation and
development over the years.
Twenty-five
years marked by dedication, tireless work, and a deep love for Georgian culture
— we congratulate Ensemble Mironi on its milestone anniversary and wish it
continued creative success in the years ahead.
