Sokhumi
State University students Saba Karelidze, Giorgi Lezhava, and Beka
Gurgenishvili secured second place in an intellectual games and debate
tournament. The awards ceremony was held at the Tbilisi City Assembly.
The
project was implemented with the involvement of the Tbilisi City Assembly and
the Commission for Sports and Youth Affairs, with the support of the capital’s
City Hall and the Association of Student Organizations. The tournament was held
in two stages and featured representatives from both private and public
universities in Tbilisi.
The
participation of the Sokhumi State University students was facilitated by the
Student Self-Government and the Department of Sports, Culture, and Youth
Affairs.
During
the event, awards were presented to the winning teams and the presidents of the
student self-governments of the 14 participating universities. The ceremony was
attended by members of the City Assembly, representatives of City Hall,
students, and invited guests.
