Seoul National
University Scholarship Program
The
scholarship scheme announced by Seoul National University (SNU) for the Fall
2026 academic term, titled the “SNU President Fellowship” (SPF), is
recognized as one of the university’s most distinguished funding opportunities.
It is intended for academic and research staff—particularly faculty members and

specifically aimed at individuals who have not yet earned a doctoral degree but
aspire to undertake PhD studies.
The
fellowship offers an extensive financial support package, which includes: full
tuition coverage for a maximum of six semesters; a monthly allowance ranging
between 1,500,000 and 2,000,000 Korean won (approximately 1,000–1,400 USD) over
a period of three to four years; provision of a round-trip economy-class
airline ticket; inclusion in the national health insurance system; childcare
assistance based on individual needs; and financial support for Korean language
courses during the study period.
