A
Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Sokhumi State University and the
NNLE "Youth and Veterans for National Defense and Security."
The
document was signed by the Rector of Sokhumi State University, Professor Tea
Jugeli, and the Commander of the Abkhazia Territorial Unit of the NNLE "Youth
and Veterans for National Defense and Security" Koba Gegia.
The
memorandum aims to deepen cooperation and promote student involvement in
national security, civil defense, and volunteer activities.
The
cooperation includes educational and informational activities for students
regarding the fundamentals of military and civil defense, emergency response,
first aid, survival skills, unmanned aerial vehicles, topography, and land
navigation.
Students
will have the opportunity to voluntarily participate in educational, practical,
sports, cultural, and patriotic events, as well as scheduled training
activities at the Gombori Training Center.
The
parties will also cooperate to popularize volunteer work and strengthen civic
responsibility among students and university staff.
The
signing ceremony was attended by Koba Kobakhidze (Head of Recruitment), Paata
Narikashvili (Head of Territorial and Exterritorial Service), David Jalaghonia
(Head of Administration), and Romeo Galdava (Deputy Rector).
Developing
civic responsibility and practical skills is essential for Sokhumi State
University. This partnership allows students to gain vital knowledge and
experience to face modern security challenges.
