As part of the Erasmus+ mobility initiative,
delegates from partner higher education institutions in Poland conducted
working visits to Sokhumi State University.
On June 30, 2026, the university welcomed staff
members from the East European University of Applied Sciences in
Bialystok—specifically Ewa Krzywicka, Marta Dźwilewska, and Urszula
Ciereszko—followed by a visit on July 7 from Emilia Szabłowska, representing
the University of Łomża.
The visiting delegates held a meeting with Professor
Indira Dzagania, the Head of Sokhumi State University's Department of
International Relations and Intercultural Relations.
During these discussions, the participants reviewed
the enduring partnerships between their institutions, opportunities for
expanding bilateral ties, exchange programs for students, teachers, and
administrators, as well as possibilities for launching collaborative
educational and research initiatives.
Special emphasis was placed on strengthening ties
under the Erasmus+ umbrella, increasing academic exchange opportunities, and
organizing future international programs.
The Polish representatives were introduced to
Sokhumi State University’s current international projects, its learning
environment, and its primary strategic goals.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing
collaboration and the rollout of new joint endeavors, which will help advance
university internationalization and broaden international networks.
