Sokhumi State University hosted the 10th National Scientific and Practical Conference on the Dissemination of International and National Projects and Modern Paradigms of Education. The conference was held on July 10, 2026, and was opened by the Rector of the University, Prof. Tea Jugeli. In her opening remarks, she addressed the challenges of implementing and disseminating international projects, emphasizing their significant role in the University's institutional development and in enhancing the quality of educational programs.
The conference, dedicated to the dissemination of international projects and modern paradigms of education, had an interdisciplinary focus. Presentations covered a wide range of topics, including theories and concepts of peace education, post-conflict peacebuilding, global perspectives on peace education, media literacy, contemporary media discourse on peace education, the use of artificial intelligence in education, education policy, the history of education, educational psychology, early childhood education, inclusive education, and subject-specific teaching methodologies.
The conference brought together participants both in person and online, including academic staff, professors, education researchers, and teachers from numerous higher education institutions and educational organizations. Participating institutions included Sokhumi State University, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Akaki Tsereteli State University, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Transylvania University of Brașov (Romania), Samtskhe-Javakheti State University, Apollon Kutateladze State Academy of Arts, Georgian Technical University, Georgian State Teaching University of Physical Education and Sport, Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State University, Georgian International University, the Teacher Professional Development Center, Tbilisi Public School No. 103, and the Italian School "Tsiskari," among others.
The conference concluded with summary
remarks delivered by representatives of the University's Department of
Scientific Research and Development and the session chairs. Selected scientific
and practical papers, following the review process, will be published in the Proceedings of Sokhumi State University.
