Rector Zurab Khonelidze's book presentation at the International University of Georgia

On October 3, 2023, the International University of Georgia hosted the presentation of the monograph titled "Georgian Paradigm of Peace" by Professor Zurab Khonelidze, Rector of Sokhumi State University.

The opening of the event and the welcoming of the Rector and the audience were conducted by the University's Rector, Professor Giorgi Matiashvili. He underscored the distinctive vision articulated in the monograph, highlighting its innovative concept of University diplomacy aimed at achieving peaceful conflict resolutions and establishing enduring peace in the complex and contradictory Caucasus region.

Expressing gratitude for the invitation and the interest in the subject, the Rector of Sokhumi State University delved into an analysis of the reasons and challenges confronting the Caucasus, particularly Georgia. These longstanding issues demand a fresh approach aligned with contemporary needs, considering the interests of states invested in the region. The resultant synergistic vision is embodied in the new Georgian paradigm of peace, articulated through university diplomacy.

Concluding the event, the academic staff of the International University of Georgia shared their opinions on the presented monograph, giving it a high rating.
