On
December 6, 2023, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, His Excellency
Mr. Ilham Aliyev, delivered a keynote address at the forum.
During
the event, a meeting transpired between the leader of Azerbaijan and the Rector
of Sokhumi State University. Mr. Zurab Khonelidze acquainted President Ilham
Aliyev with his monograph "The Georgian Paradigm of Peace" and
discussed the crucial new idea for regional security—the Georgian peace
platform based on university diplomacy.
The
head of the friendly state expressed keen interest in this concept, affirming
Azerbaijan's full engagement in realizing this idea. President Aliyev pledged
complete support to Mr. Khonelidze.
His
Excellency, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, extended warm
greetings and well wishes through the Rector of Sokhumi State University to his
friend, Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili of Georgia, to the Azerbaijani
people's Georgian brothers, and to the academic staff of Sokhumi State
University.
The
forum's proceedings are set to conclude on December 7, and it is evident that
Rector Zurab Khonelidze's active involvement, inclusive of high-level contacts
such as the meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, marks another international
success and recognition for Sokhumi State University.
