1. On March 25, 2024, within the framework of the Erasmus+ project“ Virtual Exchanges with other specific regions in the world, 2023-2025. a consulling office was opened International Relations and Intercultural Communications Department Sukhumi State University (building I, room #319), the purpose of the centre is to serve students in connection with virtual exchange programs .
Students who are interested in virtual exchange programs can contact the office at any time and receive advice regarding their interest.
2.Informational meeting with students and academic staff
On April 17, 2024, an informational meeting was held for student and academic staff/ “Movex- “Virtual Exchanges with other specific regions in the world”. faculties of humanities and educational sciences also pariticpated in the program.
Professor Indira Dzagania, coordinator of the project at Sokhumi State University, spoke about the importance of the Movex- “Virtual Exchanges with other specific regions in the world” project.
Prof. Dzagania informed the audience about the virtual exchange programs that are planned to be created at the Sokhumi State University, and also talked about the counseling office. After the meeting there was a discussion regarding the project.
3.Another informational meetings
On April 30, 2024, another informational meeting was held at the faculties of Law and Diplomacy, Business and Social Sciences of Sokhumi State University, the purpose of which was to provide information to students and staff about the virtual exchange program counseling office that was opened at the Department of International Relations and Intercultural Communications Department.
The meeting was chaired by the head of the department, professor Indira Dzagania. She talked about virtual exchange programs, office functions. The information caused the great interestt regarding the project. Professor Indira Dzagania answered the questions.
4. Informational meeting at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Technology and Pharmacy
On May 10, 2024, an informaional meeting was held on project named- Movex- “Virtual Exchanges with other specific regions in the world” and newly opened counseling office at Sokhumi State University
MOVEs is a 3-year project, focused on organizing an effective Virtual Exchange Program as a platform for professional and intercultural interaction, exchange of experience, to ensure high-quality educational services and create conditions to develop collaboration and communication skills of young people and broaden access to international learning for every student, regardless of their circumstances, background, or ability, especially at a time when student mobility is limited and finances are constrained.
At the meeting, Professor Indira Dzagania informed the students and staff about the functions of the counselling office, about the importance of the virtual exchange programs that will be created within the project. The provided information recevided the great interest of the attendees.
