On May 19, 2025, a meeting of
students with successful Entrepreneur and General Director of „Acto Group“ (https://acto.ge) Giorgi Ezugbaia and Corporate Social Responsibility Manager of
Tegeta Holdingis, CSR Expert, Mariam Japaridze (www.tegeta.ge) were held at
Sokhumi State University.
Giorgi Ezugbaia
presented a report to the students entitled „Modern Business: Challenges and
Social Responsibility“. He highlighted the capabilities of modern business as a
driving force for progress. He spoke at length about the challenges facing
business, the importance of corporate social responsibility (GSR), and
demonstrated practical examples based on his own rich experience in
entrepreneurial activities.
Expert Mariam
Japaridze spoke about Tegeta Holdingis, a Holding Company that is among the
five largest Companies in Georgia. The Expert focused on the projects
implemented by the Holding in the direction of Corporate Social Responsibility
(CSR) and future plans. Tegeta Holdingis' activities and experience in the
field of CSR aroused great interest among the students - all their questions
were answered exhaustively. In conclusion, the project coordinator, Professor
Larisa Takalandze, and the students expressed their sincere gratitude to the
invited guests for the interesting reports and sharing of rich experience in
the field of CSR.
The meeting was held within the framework of the Jean Monnet Module „Corporate Social Responsibility in the European Union: Experience for Georgia“ (CSREU), supported by the ERASMUS+ Programme.
