Memorandum of Cooperation Signed Between Sokhumi State University and the
Abkhazia Public Council
On
December 3, 2025, in Tbilisi, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between
LEPL Sokhumi State University and the N(N)LE Abkhazia Public Council. The document
was signed by the Rector of the University, Professor Tea Jugeli, and the
Chairman of the Council’s Board, Davit Guluia.
The
memorandum sets out a framework for collaborative initiatives in education,
research, and youth engagement. Both parties reaffirm that Sokhumi State
University continues to play a vital role as Abkhazia’s leading higher
education institution and remains dedicated to carrying out its historical
mission
Under
the memorandum, the University and the Council will act on the spirit of
equality and mutual understanding, deepen their cooperation, and jointly
implement activities aimed at promoting young people’s education, professional
development, and participation in peaceful conflict resolution processes. The
parties expressed readiness to implement various joint projects, meetings,
research initiatives, and educational programs.
The
partnership between Sokhumi State University and the Abkhazia Public Council marks
a significant step toward achieving shared goals and strengthening future
cooperation.
