The text-book Georgian Peace Paradigm and EU Peacebuilding” was developed at the Sokhumi State University within the framework of the Jean Monnet Module of the Erasmus+ Program (N101175481 ERASMUS-JMO-2024-MODULE-EUPEACE) (Acronym: EUPEACE, Project period: 2024 - 2027).  


The textbook comprehensively discusses the main theoretical and methodological issues of Peacebuilding, generalizes and analyzes the European Union experience; special emphasis is made on the European Union's Policy in the field of Peacebuilding, “University Diplomacy” as a Renovated Mission of the University, a Modern Form of Peace Building and as a Conflict-Regulatory System, Conflicts and Peace Processes in Georgia, EU Conflict Management and Mediation in Georgia. The book is intended for the students, teachers and researchers of Higher Educational Institutions. It will be interesting for a wide range of readers interested in these issues.


The Professors and experts of the Sokhumi State University and invited Professor within the framework of Module EUPEACE took part in the elaboration of the text-book: Topic I, II, III, IV, V, VII – Zurab Khonelidze (Academic Leader, Professor, Sokhumi State University), Topic V - Levan Makhashvili (Jean Monnet Professor), Topic VI - Gela Tsaava (Associate Professor, Sokhumi State University), Topic VIII - Lavrenti (Levan) Geradze (Expert, Doctoral Student of Sokhumi State University), Topic IX - Larisa Takalandze (Project Manager, Professor, Sokhumi State University).
