The second piloting of modules and online courses was held at Sokhumi State University within the framework of the Erasmus+ project

On June 9, 2026, the second piloting of the modules and online certificate courses developed within the framework of the Erasmus+ project — "Developing Soft Skills in Higher Education Institutions of Armenia and Georgia based on the Demands of the 21st Century Labor Market" — was successfully conducted at Sokhumi State University.

 

Since 2024, Sokhumi State University has been involved in the implementation of this Erasmus+ project, which aims to develop students' soft skills and align them with the demands of the modern labor market. The project coordinator is Indira Dzagania.

 

Within the framework of the project, it is planned to develop and integrate five soft skills modules and five online certificate courses into the educational process, which will significantly contribute to the development of students' professional and personal competencies.

 

During the piloting session, the following training modules and online courses were presented to the students:

 

Vika Kardava - "Critical Thinking and Creative Problem Solving";

Rusudan Pipia - "Equality, Inclusivity, and Diversity";

Sofia Gamakharia - Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) "Effective Business Communication and the Art of Negotiation";

Keti Kavtaradze - Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) "Understanding and Developing Organizational Culture".

 

Within the framework of the event, representatives from European partner universities, Professors Ignacio Blanco and Philip Penny, conducted masterclasses dedicated to modern approaches to soft skills development and their practical application.

 

The piloting process was conducted with active student involvement and discussions. The participants positively evaluated the presented learning materials and expressed their interest in the further utilization and implementation of the mentioned modules and online courses.
