On
July 22, 2026, Sokhumi State University welcomed Silvia and Noelia Fernández,
delegates from Spain's University of Granada, as part of the Erasmus+ mobility
initiative.
The
Spanish guests met with Prof. Indira Dzagania, Head of the Department of
International Relations and Intercultural Connections. The discussion
underscored the importance of the ongoing, productive partnership between both
institutions, reviewing past joint projects while exploring opportunities for
future endeavors.
Special
attention was paid to opportunities for further deepening cooperation within
the Erasmus+ program, including student and academic staff mobility, joint
research activities, and the expansion of international partnerships. Held in a
warm and productive spirit, the meeting reaffirmed both universities'
commitment to fostering mutually beneficial academic relations.
